Anatomy of a Relationship
So I had plans to hang out with Clifton when I got off of work at 5:30. I called him once I left…no answer. I ran some errands, giving him a little window of time to call me back. I come home, park myself in front of my computer, and begin wondering what happened. What if he’s in the hospital? What if someone in his family was injured? Plans?
I strongly believe that one of the best feelings ever is crossing something off of a list. Not that the event itself is not important and that you should get it over with as soon as possible, but to have that experience completed is just so fulfilling. At least to me. Whenever I feel down, I drive down the street that DePaul Hospital is on and let everyone who approaches the crosswalk cross. It makes me feel a little bit better knowing that whoever is coming in or out of the hospital had a tiny bright spot in their day. A lot of people barely acknowledge the flashing lights and hesitant pedestrians. I guess this is a little self-serving, but it makes me feel...

Every girl there is wearing a vintage dress. I didn’t even know there were that many vintage dresses on this earth. Some girls have flowers in their hair. Some wear old cowboy boots. But I don’t think these girls have ever been on a farm. How extraordinarily whimsical they all are! They are accompanied by many gentlemen with amusing...
