I have to move all my stuff out of my room by 10 AM tomorrow. I was stressing it pretty hard, but I just put a lot of stuff in bags for about an hour. Now I’m enjoying a Law & Order: SVU marathon and not worrying at all. I’m probably going to move my stuff at 11 PM tonight anyways, so time I’ve got.

Bus Ride from Hell

Ew, I don’t even want to relive the horrors experienced on that bus. Just know that at one point, I found comfort (I felt BETTER) in sitting in the bathroom of the bus crying and cold-sweating. China buses are hit and miss, and this one was definitely a miss.

Anyways, I got here safely and took a nice nap. Kim and I are getting ready to go eat pancakes maybe, and check out the Tim Burton and Audrey Kawasaki exhibits. They aren’t showing together but yeah. Sorry, Marcus! You should have come up hereeee, we miss you. And these streets will make you feel brand new; big lights will inspire you. Ok, it’s my turn to shower.

California-Phantom Planet

I love the O.C. as much as the next girl who was in sixth grade when it came out. But this song is still pretty good when you exclude its place in pop culture. Why is California the land where dreams come true, where dreams die; the source of inspiration for thousands of songs? Why did I fall for it when I was twelve? Before I knew what the Teen Choice Awards were, before I really got into my “Best of the Beach Boys” album that I stole from the middle console of my mom’s Volvo. And again, when I visited San Francisco with my best friend the summer after junior year. Left my heart there like an idiot.

Ok, done being nostalgic for the future.
